Crypto Valley Malaysia Background
It all started with 5 of our founding team members, a group of entrepreneurs mainly from the ICT industry. We see the needs for such an ecosystem to contain the vast demand for an organized and structural approach when it comes to technology related developments.
There was quite some debate going on the name whether to hoose between Blockchain and Crypto. And we settled with Crypto Valley Malaysia, modeled after Switzerland’s Crypto Valley.
Switzerland has been recognized as a cryptocurrency and blockchain-friendly country, especially due to the “Crypto Valley,” a center of fintech, blockchain, and digital currency activity located in the canton of Zug. According to a study by blockchain conference BlockShow Europe 2018, the country was ranked number one in a list of the top
European countries for launching a blockchain company. Quoted from Coin Telegraph:
“Risk with not able to catch up with technology advancement is the displacement of talents and investment overseas.”
We have Crypto Valley in Switzerland, and unofficial Crypto Valley in Brisbane, Australia. We also have Malta to become a Blockchain island, South Korea to have a Crypto Beach (which is a Blockchain Center in Busan City)
We have a great plan for CVM. New form of alliances are to be made. We shall see more and more innovative collaboration taking shapes.
While some will remain the resistance in fear of losing power, countries and nation states in the context as we know it today will face challenges from digitally cross-borders, autonomous and decentralized organizations across the globe.
